Hello Students!
I hope everyone and their families are remaining safe during this time of need. As a friendly reminder it is a new month so please include our JUNE Fitness Calendar for daily movement assignments. This is will part of your weekly assignment moving forward. GREAT JOB to all students from week 8 I am beyond proud of all of you!

Our Physical Education week 9 assignment has been posted under the assignment section. This week we will be reflecting and recording our goals for summer 2020. If you decide to perform any exercises this week, as always….
Don’t forget to breath and drink plenty of water during all exercise videos and most of all HAVE FUN! Enjoy the exercises and activities! If you feel the need to take a break during the activities please do so.

Hello Students!

This is will part of your weekly assignment moving forward. THUMBS UP AND GREAT JOB goes out to those that completed their week 7 work. KEEP MOVING!
Our Physical Education week 8 assignment has been posted under the assignment section. We will be focusing on Tabata training this week. When you are performing Tabata the individual does an exercise as hard as they can for 20 seconds nonstop, then take a 10 second rest. This will allow the heartrate to increase and decrease. This process is repeated 8 times which totals 4 minutes of nonstop activity. I’ve selected fitness and movement videos based on grade level so be sure to use the appropriate level. Tabata is a great form of exercise but it must be performed safely and correctly. Don’t forget to breath and drink plenty of water during all exercise videos and most of all HAVE FUN! Hello to all! I’m Coach Nick, Physical Education teacher here at Scholastic Academy. As we try to get through this hard time together, I want to ensure you that our physical education program will continue with daily movement and assignments! I am sadden by the news of us not returning to school this year, but happy to be continuing our Physical Education program through online learning! Starting this week we will be following the May Fitness Calendar located on my website for fun daily movement. This is will part of your weekly assignment moving forward. I am so proud of all the time you have put towards staying healthy and active during this time. I received many assignments from week 3 so THUMBS UP AND GREAT JOB goes out to those that completed their work. As a friendly reminder you can always submit past weeks assignments at any time. Credit will still be applied. KEEP MOVING! Our Physical Education week five assignment has been posted under the assignment section. We will be focusing on yoga and cardio based fitness activities this week. Yoga is a great activity to increase flexibility, increase muscle strength and tone, improved respiration and overall health. It also helps with relaxation and stress management which we all could use during this quarantine. Don’t forget to breath and drink plenty of water during all exercise videos. Also, I outlined the recommended grade level for each video; this should allow you to choose the correct video. All assignments will be due 5/4/20. Stay active and be safe!
