    Today, the school district was informed that a staff member at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Microsociety School received a positive COVID-19 test result. 

    Eugenio Maria de Hostos Microsociety School is open for students and staff Monday, November 30, 2020.  All of the areas where the staff member spent time will be sanitized this evening.

    In compliance with contact tracing protocols, the District’s Health Services staff is working with the Westchester County Health Department and all decisions are made following their guidelines and directives.  Student and staff members proximate to the staff member will be appropriately notified and directed to quarantine according to CDC guidance.

    Today, one parent from each of the following schools, Yonkers Middle High School, Westchester Hills School 29 and Cesar E. Chavez School reported to the district that their child tested positive for COVID 19. In compliance with contact tracing protocols, the District’s Health Services staff working with the Westchester County Health Department and following their guidelines and directives, it was determined that based on each of the the individual students’ attendance and symptoms no further actions are required at this time.

    NOVEMBER 22, 2020

    Today, a staff member from Kahlil Gibran School informed the District that the staff member had a positive COVID-19 test result. 

    In compliance with contact tracing protocols, the District’s Health Services staff is working with the Westchester County Health Department and all decisions are made following their guidelines and directives.  Parents of the students and staff members proximate to the staff member were appropriately notified and directed to quarantine following CDC guidelines.

    Out of an abundance of caution, Kahlil Gibran School building will be closed for students and non-essential staff Monday, November 23 through Wednesday, November 25, 2020.  On Monday, November 30, 2020, the school will reopen for student and staff to resume Hybrid Instruction. 

    All students will continue learning using the District’s 100% Online Remote Instruction model.  Tomorrow morning, follow Kahlil Gibran School’s 100% Online Remote Instruction model and ensure your child logs into her/his regularly assigned classes by 8:35 AM.

    Today, a staff member at the William Boyce Thompson School informed the district that the individual tested positive for COVID-19. 

    Out of an abundance of caution, the William Boyce Thompson School building will be closed to non-essential staff tomorrow and Thursday, November 19 through Wednesday, November 25.  On Monday, November 30, after the Thanksgiving Recess, the school will reopen using Hybrid Instruction. 

    In compliance with contact tracing protocols, the District’s Health Services staff is working with the Westchester County Health Department and all decisions are made following their guidelines and directives.  Parents of the students and staff members proximate to the staff member will be appropriately notified and directed to quarantine according to CDC guidance.

Following CDC guidelines the staff member will quarantine.     Based on the recommendation and guidelines of the Westchester County Health Department, the Robert C. Dodson School building will be closed for students and non-essential staff tomorrow, Tuesday, November 17 to complete the required Contact Tracing protocols and do an extensive cleaning of the school.  Parents of the students and staff members proximate to the individual will be appropriately notified by the District’s Health Services Department and directed to quarantine following CDC guidelines.

    All students will continue learning using the District’s 100% Online Remote Instruction model.  Tomorrow morning, follow Dodson’s 100% Online Remote Instruction model and ensure your child logs into her/his regularly assigned classes by 7:35 AM.

    Based on the recommendation of the Westchester County Health Department, the Enrico Fermi School building will be closed through Wednesday, November 25, 2020.  All students will continue learning using the District’s 100% Online Remote Instruction model.  On Monday, November 30, 2020, the school will reopen for student and staff to resume Hybrid Instruction. 

    Tomorrow, Monday, November 16, students and teachers will follow Enrico Fermi’s 100% Online Remote Instruction model, students should log into their regularly assigned classes on Teams by 8:35 AM. 

    Grab N Go breakfast and lunch for all students will be available at Enrico Fermi School beginning tomorrow and continue until Wednesday, November 25.  Families are encourage to pick up children’s meals.

    Yonkers Early Childhood Academy is open for students and staff tomorrow.  All of the areas where the staff member spent time will be sanitized this evening.

    In compliance with contact tracing protocols, the District’s Health Services staff is working with the Westchester County Health Department and all decisions are made following their guidelines and directives.  Parents of the students and staff members proximate to the individual were appropriately notified and were directed to quarantine. 

    Based on the recommendation of the Westchester County Health Department, Family School 32 building will be closed through Friday, November 20, 2020.  All students will continue learning using the District’s 100% Online Remote Instruction model.  On Monday, November 23, 2020, the school will reopen for student and staff to resume Hybrid Instruction. 

    Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 10, students and teachers will follow Family School 32’s 100% Online Remote Instruction model, students should log into their regularly assigned classes on Teams by 8:35 AM.

    In compliance with contact tracing protocols, the District’s Health Services staff is working with the Westchester County Health Department and all decisions are made following their guidelines and directives.  Parents of the students and staff members proximate to the individual were appropriately notified and were directed to quarantine.
