• Dear Parents and Students,

    Due to the Coronavirus, we are tentatively planning to return to school on April 15th.  I have sent home paper and electronic assignments the last couple of days of school.  Check my general assignmeents list on this class page.

     Mystery Science Update: Dear Parents and Students, It has been brought to my attention that many of you are having trouble getting onto Mystery Science. To rectify this issue, I have attached the link for the specific lesson for the assignment. All you have to do is click on the assignment from the Assignments Page. Then it will give the lesson details. Next select "Click here: Mystery Science Mini-lesson" and it will take you to the video. 

    The district purchased iReady, which is a great digital learning program that I am excited to use with my students. I have set up the Math and Reading assignments for the students to do during the week. Each lesson will take about 30 minutes to do. 

    Be sure to check your progress in on iReady by clicking on My Progress from the main screen. You can also see what themes and games you have unlocked by clicking on My Stuff. The more lessons you complete, the more you will unlock. Have fun!

I have been teaching in Yonkers since 1999.  I began my career teaching first grade for eight years, five years in fifth, and  seven years in sixth grade.  The best reward that I can recieve; is watching that sparkle in my students eyes when they comprehend what I taught them.
