RE:     Welcome Back!

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year! I am very excited to serve as your Principal again for the upcoming school year. I hope you had an enjoyable summer. A special welcome to the families who are new to the Yonkers Public Schools. We are happy to serve you and your child beginning on the first day of school, Thursday, September 7, 2023..

Again, this year, our Assistant Principal is Mrs. Anna Nowak-Richardson, who has over twenty years of experience as an educator in Yonkers.  Mrs. Nowak-Richardson and I look forward to working with the community again this school year to provide our children with a rigorous program that allows all students to develop the skills necessary to think and act critically as responsible citizens and continue educating themselves as life-long learners.

Please note the following important information for the first week of school:

• The first day of school for all students, including Pre-Kindergarten students, will be on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
• Your child’s 2023-2024 classroom assignment will be available on the Parent Portal. It can be accessed at  https://yonkersps.powerschool.com/public/home.html.  Please note, there are no classroom changes being made at this time. 
• Schools/Central Office closed: September 4th (Labor Day) and September 25 (Yom Kippur).
• School hours are 8:35a.m to 3:15 pm. Feel free to reach out to the main office at (914) 376-8645, if you have any questions or concerns.
