Hello,

My name is Erin Luciana.  I've been a teacher at Paideia 24 for the past eight years.  Previously, I taught at MLK and School 13.  This is my 24th year teaching.  I have taught grades 2, 3, and 4.  I earned my undergraduate degree at Manhattan College in Elementary Education.  I also earned my Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy at Fordham University.

This will be an exciting year for third grade!  We are so excited to have all students back in the classroom!

Students will be using many different websites this year.  Some of these include:

CLEVER-   The login for Clever is the six digit ID@yonkerspublicschools.org and password is their 8 digit birthdate.  Students will use the Clever plateform to access all other class and district websites.

BENCHMARK- our new reading program. This is an interactive program.  Students will be expected to take notes, complete assignments, be part of reading groups.

CLASS NOTEBOOK- This is part of TEAMS.  It is an interactive notebook.  This will be used for some classwork when the class has access to laptops.  Students many have to download ONE NOTE to access this if using their own personal device.

NEARPOD- an interactive slideshow and presention used in all subject areas.

I READY- our new math program that has a book and ditital component.  Students will learn place value. multiplication and division, fractions, measurment, and shapes

XTRA MATH- an interective math facts program that tests students on math facts and advances them as they master each operation

Monday- MUSIC

Tuesday-PE (Gym), ART

Wednesday- MUSIC

Thursday- PE (Gym)

Friday- MUSIC

(Please wear sneakers on PE days.  Students will bs outside as often as possible, weather permitting.)
