Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Maria Chiulli-Jones
Proud to Be a Teacher:
A native to Yonkers, I have a deep connection to our city and to all it has to offer developing minds. I attended Iona College and received a Bacherlor's degree/certification in Elementary Education. I always had a passion for teaching and felt a strong devotion to understanding different challenges and techniques children encounter so, I decided to get a Master's degree/certification in Special Education from College of New Rochelle.
I began my career in Mount Vernon school district teaching Special Education and later 3rd grade. The following year I was fortunate to get a position in Yonkers at School 5 gaining experience and wisdom teaching grades 4-6. During this time, I was blessed to have stayed home a few years to nuture and care for my 2 daughters. I then joined the team at Paideia 24 and was thrilled to have the teaching position PRE-K and now 3rd grade!! As I approach my 24th year of teaching, I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such young minds where children are excited about school and how important this time is in their future.
