Mrs. Samantha Yurcho
I grew up in Yonkers and I'm a proud Saunders High School alumna. I went on to attend Fordham University and Iona College Graduate School. Happy to have come full circle. Teaching is my passion and I hope to promote a love of literature and the life lessons we can draw from it!
I have set up a Remind account for parent-teacher-student communication. Once you follow the subscription directions for your child's homeroom below, you will receive daily updates regarding homework, assessments, school events, etc.

For the 2022-2023 school year, we will be utilizing Microsoft Teams for my English 7 and English 8 courses. I have added all students, but please refer to the following links for your convenience:

7th Grade Supply List:
- One 5 Subject notebook
- 1 Folder

- 1 highlighter
- At least 3 pens (blue or black)
- 1 colored pen (ex. purple, green etc.)
- Pencil sharpener
- 1 combination lock
- Hand sanitizer, hand soap, tissues, Lysol wipes or paper towels (optional)
* You may also want to purchase a copy of the book We Beat the Street as we will be reading it in class. These school copies are not permitted to go home.
** Students must also have an independent reading book with them everyday.
