Mr. Jake Epprecht

For the past 20 years, I have been teaching in the wonderful and exciting and never-predictible world of Yonkers.  I have taught at Yonkers Middle school, Emerson Middle School, Cross Hill Academy and now at Family School 32.  For the past 12 years, teaching at Family School has been a wonderful experience, filled with great coworkers and even more amazing students.  I am located in Room 6. 

As much as I enjoy teaching, I am a real person outside of school, believe it or not!  I still collect comics, play soccer and love music, loudly!  My boys are all active in Scouting and I am a Scoutmaster to all three of my boys who love Scouting.  We love to camp and go hiking, kayaking and swimming!  And now I am a proud parent of a college student!  

My wife and I have been married 27 years now!  (man I'm old!)  We love to watch movies together and play games, both board and video.  We love to walk along the Hudson River and walk our doggie.

This school year I am truly looking forward to making the most of it with my students and growing and learning together.

  • Parent Teacher Conferences are happening the week of 12/12/22!

    As of 12/12/22 the 14th is completely booked!  We do however still have openings for conferences on Friday 12/16/22.  Phone conferences are acceptable, please leave phone number of where to reach you whne you sign up.  Please use the link to sign up on Signup Genius.

     (6) Notebooks- Spiral (Labeled: Notes, Current Events and Vocabulary)one for 1st semester and one for 2nd semester   If you wish to use a three subject note book instead that is fine, the categories just need their own space to make it easier to organise.  Or if you wish to use a binder and page spacers that will work as well. Once we get fully established with Teams we will be able to focus on the Digital Notebook that is in that platform.

    1. (1) Pocket folder for handouts and Tests/Quizzes
    2. (4) Packs of Pens (Black or Blue Only) These will be needed all year, so a constant supply will be needed, or your child can purchase them in class.
    3. (4) Pencils pack (not Staples brand-they break easily) These will be needed all year, so a constant supply will be needed, or your child can purchase them in class.
    4. (2) Packets of Colored Pencils/Crayons These are a must have.  Please be ready to have them every day.  We use them for maps and other project.  Better to have them and not need them, then to not have them and need them.  Also I will most likely not be able to share mine this upcoming year with restrictions expected.
