Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! My name is  Ms. Yamil Pineda and  I am very pleased to be your ENL teacher, here at Family School 32.  The English as a New Language program is designed to provide support within the content area classrooms.  

I will provide support throughout whole group instruction and work collaboratively with other teachers and within small groups. We will focus on specific skills to enable limited English proficient students to become competent in the comprehension, speaking, reading, and composition of the English language through the integrated use of second language methods.  Regardless of the format of instruction, I want to ensure you that I will do anything and everything to help support you throughout the entire year.

I believe that by working together we will make this a very successful school year. I encourage parents, the most influential people in their lives, to participate in learning experiences at home.  This will promote academic and social success.  I encourage students, to set high expectations for themselves and try their very best!
