The DiChiaro PTA advocates for children and their families. We work to make every child’s education better and provide support for the teachers and staff who nurture our children every day.
Membership is open to anyone who believes in the mission and purposes of Parent Teacher Association. Every person who joins the DiChiaro PTA automatically becomes a member of both the state and national PTAs.

The DiChiaro PTA provides cultural and educational shows, demonstrations and presentations for the entire school. We have had international performers, science and animal presentations, author visits, character education shows, and theatrical productions. The types of performances the PTA has sponsored is constantly expanding.
The PTA fosters communication between home, school, and the PTA. We send out regular notices about issues and events to the entire school. We also keep parents informed via e-mail, text, our website (www.DiChiaroPTA.com), ConnectEd phone calls, Twitter and Facebook.
The DiChiaro PTA also works to create community within the school. On Family Nights, busy parents can spend time with their children and mingle with other DiChiaro families and participate in fun, low cost activities. Family Night events include: Books Bingo, Lego Night and an outdoor family dance.
The PTA does a limited amount of fundraising. We participate in the Boxtops for Education program and raise money by working in partnership with businesses and local restaurants. Proceeds go to programs and activities at DiChiaro.
The PTA has meetings so that parents can stay informed and discuss concerns. General meetings are held every other month. The PTA also keeps parents informed about PTA Council meetings, Board of Education meetings and city governmental meetings related to school issues.
