Dear Students and Families, 
 
Welcome to Fourth Grade! My name is Ms. Effie Kontos, and I am thrilled to be your teacher this year. I hope you had a wonderful summer filled with fun and relaxation, and you are as excited as I am to start this new school year. 
 
Fourth grade is a fantastic year where we will explore many new and exciting topics together. We will dive into fascinating subjects such as: 
 
**Reading and Writing:** Enhancing our skills through various genres and writing projects. 
**Mathematics:** Tackling challenging concepts like multiplication, division, fractions, and more. 
**Science:** Conducting experiments and learning about exciting topics, such as ecosystems and energy. 
**Social Studies:** Exploring the history and geography of our state and more. 
 
In our classroom, we will create a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone feels safe to express their ideas and ask questions. I believe that every student has unique talents and abilities, and my goal is to help each of you shine and reach your full potential.
