Welcome Back!

I hope you are all safe and doing well. I know it has been a difficult time for us all but I am very happy to be getting back to teaching in some type of capacity. As you are aware we will be conducting online education for the beginning of the school year. All online learning will be conducted on Microsoft Teams. If you have any questions please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible .

Our first day of online teaching is scheduled for Tuesday 9/8. The first week will be more of an introductory period where we can all become familiar with using Teams as well as getting used to online learning. Class textbooks and materials will be distributed later next week. Please see the Pearls website for the schedule of book distribution. 

The Schedule for online classes will allow for a 10 minute grace period at the beginning of period 1 and the end of each period to allow for students to get prepared. As of now it will be difficult to conduct labs with online learning but I am looking into other alternatives for In the past this course has required 1200 minutes of Lab work but the requirement was put on hold with the onset of the virus. As of now the NYS Education department has not informed us if the lab requirement is back in place. I will provided more information as it becomes available.

Again I would like to welcome all of you back and I know that although we have many challenges I feel strongly that working together we can make it a great last year at Pearls for you !
