Dr. Quezada's Telephone Message to Yonkers Public Schools Families
The New Year brings significant promise as well as continued challenges for many people. Today, we must continue to help those individuals who unfortunately are experiencing significant hardships. Our focus in the school district is always on the children and families we serve.
On Monday, 100% Online Remote Instruction begins and will continue all week through Friday, January 8th.
- All students will remain home.
- Teachers will deliver instruction from their classrooms or home.
- Grab and Go breakfast and lunch will be provided at every school during remote instruction.
- Please go to the school closest to your home for Grab and Go meals.
On Tuesday, January 5th, the Yonkers Council of PTAs is hosting an important Zoom webinar at 6 PM, "Let’s Chat with the Superintendent"
Hybrid Instruction will begin on Monday, January 11th for students in Groups/Cohorts A and C.
On a final note, thank you for all the support that you have provided during this most difficult year. Educating all of our students is our collective responsibility and it can only be done if we do it together.
I look forward to a productive, healthy, and collaborative 2021. Happy New Year.
Dr. Edwin M. Quezada,
Superintendent of Schools
