Hello Hostos Families!

I am Ms.Rosario and I am so thrilled to be your child’s Pre-k teacher this school year. I graduated with a Master’s in Early Childhood Education with dual coursework in general education and special education. I have 9+ years of experience in education and all have been in the Yonkers Public school district.  However, the most exciting role is becoming your child’s Pre-k teacher. Some fun facts about me are that I am a mother of a beautiful 6 year old girl and pride my joy in the importance of molding young minds. I am also a life-long resident and alumni of Yonkers Public Schools. In addition, I am trilingual in English, Portuguese and Spanish. I also love music, and I am a fan of science and teach children many hands-on activities. We are going to learn so many new and exciting things. Pre-k is a time to mold and introduce children to routines, how to communicate their needs and emotions, create their own independence, make new friends and most of all, learn and prepare for Kindergarten. I will need your help and obtain open lines of communication to assist in your child's success. I look forward to teaching and seeing your beautiful children, learning about them and I anticipate meeting you all personally.  I also need your partnership to encourage and guide your child to succeed, because your involvement is just as important to their education as their schooling experience.
