Hi Families,

Welcome to 5th grade and the 2020-21 school year!  I am excited to meet all of you virtually on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.  Details will be forthcoming.  It is hard to believe, but this is my 8th year teaching 5th grade at Hostos!  I know we are going to have a great year because you all rose to the challenges of working remotely last spring and continued your learning at home! I have added all parents to Remind.  Please accept my invitation and reply to that message by stating your child's name to confirm receipt.

There will be an important Hostos Town Hall meeting tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, 2020, at 1pm.  The remote learning plan for September and the hybrid learning plan beginning in October will be discussed. There will also be a virtual tour of the school showing the new social distancing features and furniture arrangements in place. Parents' questions and concerns will also be addressed.  Click on this link to participate in the meeting.

I have some homework for both parents and students that needs to be submitted as soon as possible.

Parents' homework: Please complete the Emergency card here and email it to me at toleary-gasparro@yonkerspublicschools.org.

Students' homework: All students will be using Microsoft Office 365 this year.  Please log into Clever.

Your clever username is your Student 6 digit ID number@yonkerspublicschools.org

Your clever password is your 8 digit birthdate MMDDYYYY.

Click on Microsoft 365.

Click on "New Message."

Enter toleary-gasparro@yonkerspublicschools in the "To" box.
