    • Homework is assigned on Wednesdays as a Student-Paced Nearpod assignment ** ONLY TO THE STUDENTS THAT DO NOT MEET LIVE WITH ME THAT DAY. **

    Franklin High School

    • Attendance will be taken daily in the Microsoft Teams LIVE LESSON. If you miss the live class, you have until that Friday to complete the days assignment to recieve credit. Missed and graded coursework will be posted on Teams under the Assignments tab. Classwork is expected daily, and graded daily. When we meet via Microsoft Teams daily we complete a Nearpod lecture assignment Nearpod. Classwork is graded based on the work provided on our interactive classroom lecture for the day via Nearpod. Participation is included in this category and very important. If the student does not attend class on a particular day, the student is provided with an absent link which must be completed by that Friday. Full credit is given if and when the work is completed by that Friday.

     QUIZ

    • Quizzes are given half way through the unit/chapter. They are open book allowing students to use their notes provided by me on their class notebooks on Microsoft Teams. They serve as important check-ins throughout each unit. Quizzes can be openended, multiple choice, or a mix or both.

    • Exams/Tests come at the end of each unit, and sometimes within a unit if it may take 2 weeks.Tests will have multiple choice and open ended questions in the style of their quizes and again are open book. Before any exam, I provide a review lesson the day prior. Students are allowed to take the test multiple times until they've obtained a passing grade.

Students will work on virtual labs where I do a demo lab based on the current topic we are covering. Students will observe results and answer questions based on their observations.

Hey...I’m doing this because I think teaching is great...and I think Science AMAZING! I love to help. If you don’t understand something, ask me! Ask anyone! Just make sure you ask...otherwise you’ll find yourself falling even further behind and I would hate for that to happen.
