Greetings Las Hermanas Mirabal Community School Family and Friends. I am happy and excited to welcome you back to a new school year. I hope this summer offered you and your family many moments of joy and relaxation. Our administration, teachers, support staff, custodial staff and food service staff is looking forward to a productive and rewarding partnership this year.

Our 2023- 2024 school year will begin on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 8:15am. Our school’s instructional foci will continue to center around Accountable Talk, Critical Thinking Skills and Checking for Understanding. We will continue our emphasis on building academic fluency in ELA and Math. With that said, I invite all our families and friends in helping us in with our instructional initiatives as we work towards our goal in developing academic proficiency.  

I want to assure you our entire staff is committed to our mission. That is, we believe in challenging ourselves to strive for excellence and encourage others to do the same. We will accomplish this by respecting all members in our school community, modeling and demonstrating positive working ethics and behaviors and achieving rigorous academic goals. Our core belief at our school is “Every Student… Every Classroom… Every Day” This speaks to the commitment and dedication we have for our students.
