WELCOME LETTER / CARTA DE BIENVENIDA

Dear Parents,

           I am happy to invite you and your child to Kindergarten this year. I hope your summer was fun filled and enjoyable. The main goal is for each child to learn to the best of their ability. This means that I will do whatever I can to help each child learn their way. I will try to create an atmosphere where students feel comfortable and safe to share their thoughts and what they’ve learned. Kindergarten is one of the most incredible years your child will have in their academic career. Kindergarten is an exciting time as children embark upon new adventures in the world of learning. This is a year of important transitions, as well as one in which skills are enhanced. I hope to make your child’s learning experience a fun and exciting one, and I hope to instill a love of learning that will last throughout your child’s education. So much happens in Primary Grades! Because of this, parents as well as children may have some apprehensions about what will happen. It is extremely important to keep in mind that we all build on small successes, maintaining each child’s self-esteem and building a secure foundation for future growth will always remain a priority in Kindergarten. Here are some ways you can help:

•  Celebrate your child’s success, no matter how small it may seem. This will keep your child enthusiastic about learning and proud of their work.
• Read to and with your child everyday, if possible. The more your child is exposed to language, the easier it will be for him/her to incorporate new skills in reading and writing in the classroom.

Please know that we are partners in education. I value your input and constant support. Teaching is part of who I am and I am are committed to ensuring your child’s educational success. The adventure is about to begin and endless possibilities await us. I can’t wait to watch your child soar. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Estimados padres de familia,

Me complace a darle las bienvenida a usted y a su hijo/a a las clases de este año. Espero que el verano fue muy divertido y agradable. El objetivo principal es que cada niño aprenda en la medida de su capacidad. Esto significa que voy a hacer todo lo posible para ayudar a cada niño a aprender a su manera. Vamos a tratar de crear una ambiente donde los estudiantes se sientan cómodos y seguros en compartir sus pensamientos y lo que han aprendido. Kindegarten es uno de los años más increíbles que su hijo tendrá en su carrera académica. Kindegarten es un momento emocionante cuando los niños embarcan  en nuevas aventuras en el mundo del aprendizaje. Este es un año de transiciones importantes, así como una en la que se mejoran las habilidades. Espero que la experiencia de aprendizaje de su hijo sea muy divertida y emocionante, y espero inculcar el amor por el aprendizaje que durará toda la educación de su hijo. Tanto sucede en los grados de primaria! Debido a esto, los padres, así como los niños pueden tener algunos temores sobre lo que sucederá. Es muy importante tener en cuenta que todo se basan en los pequeños éxitos. El mantenimiento de cada niño, el autoestima y la construcción de una base sólida para el crecimiento futuro siempre seguirá siendo una prioridad en la aula. Aquí están algunas maneras en que usted puede ayudar:

• Celebre el éxito de su hijo: no importa lo pequeño que parezca. Esto ayudara que su hijo tenga ganas de aprender y sienta orgulloso de su trabajo.
• Lea con su hijo todos los días, si es posible. Cuanto más su hijo está expuesto a la lengua, más fácil será para él / ella para incorporar nuevas habilidades en lectura y escritura en el aula.

Por favor, sepan que somos socios en la educación. Valoro su opinión y apoyo constante. La enseñanza es parte de lo que soy y estoy comprometidos a asegurar el éxito educativo de su hijo/a.
