- Students continue to master their early morning routine, which consists of working on three ELA or Math tasks. Students easily navigate the structured routine. As the students have progressed, our first 2 tasks are mostly written or illustrated projects. The 3rd task is typically a hands-on activity.

- As we continue to make real-world connections, we read thematic texts. Our current theme is entitled, "Animals". Within this theme, students learn about animal features, habitats, families, and ways to care for pets.
- Some new center opportunities include matching parent-to-baby animals, sorting animals by the different ways they move, the veterinarian center, and animal centers.
- We have introduced the letters Kk, Ll, Mm, Nn, Oo, and Pp. Students have made amazing progress, as many are making strong letter-sound connections. Our morning circle time often consists of "shared writing" experiences, where students help write words on large chart paper.
- We continue to build number sense to 6, and have begun exploring the concepts of addition and subtraction. Students have learned about patterns. We have explored making and extending patterns.

Please check your child's red folder for a QR code taped to the inside. You may access Clever o through our school's website. Once in clever, scan the QR code.To best build and strengthen number sense and math skills, it is recommended that your child go to Happy Numbers and practice 10 to 15 minutes a day.
