HELLO ALL. Thank you for being here! My name is Ms. Marjieh! I am a medical terminology teacher at Gorton High School and founder of the Gorton Green Committee.

If you found yourself on this page, you're probably wondering what the Gorton Green Committee is. Hopefully you've seen the posters, the brochures, the social media posts, or heard your friends talking about it! Either way, we're glad to have you...so stay awhile 😊

The Gorton Green Committee is a club exclusive to Gorton High School. The GGC is centered around environmentalism and veganism, and ultimately aims to educate students on how to make better lifestyle choices for the wellbeing of the planet, the animals, and their own health. I have been vegan for four years, and my enthusiasm and passion for educating people on veganism only comes second to my passion and enthusiasm for teaching...so I decided to merge the two with this club.
