Mr. DiBernardino

This is Middle School Math...

Greetings!

My name is Jon-Paul DiBernardino, and I am your middle school math teacher here at School 5.

I hope to show my students that math is quite literally in everything we do. It has a rich history throughout humankind and is how we have been able to create great civilizations dating back thousands and thousands of years. Our students are learning the same math that humans have been able to do for millenia. It pertains to everything from business and finance to art and even music.

In 7th and 8th Grades, we will explore several algebra and geometry-based math concepts and apply them to numerous disciplines, such as; business, physics, chemistry, even history. Students will partake in labs and projects that allow them to apply the skills we learn in class.

Both grades will use iReady math, which can be accessed via Clever.

Sub Plans

Good day, and thank you for covering my class today. You will find my sub. plans listed below. All in-class worksheets are located in the file cabinet near the closet in a folder labeled "Sub Work".

Students sit in small groups and may only work with those in their group. Seating charts are also located in the "Sub Work" folder.

All Emergency Procedures are posted on the wall nearest the door and an additional copy of SHELL procedures is on the black cart next to my desk. Emergency Cards are located in the same file cabinet as sub. work.

Please collect all student work at the end of the period and place in the appropriate folder on the desk.
