WELCOME BACK TO CLASSROOM 108 !

I would like to welcome all of you back to Class 108 for another exciting, fun-filled year of learning experiences!  I am thrilled to be your child's teacher again this year!  I understand many of you have concerns about how your child will sit and attend for online instruction for this first month of school. I can tell you, that we are a team and we will work together to gradually increase the amount of time that your child can tolerate online instruction and their learning will be supplemented with various learning tools to help them attain their goals.  This year brings new experiences to all of us as remote learning will begin on Tuesday, September 8th when we  start our adventure on Microsoft Teams together! I look forward to seeing all of you!

Please follow the instructions below to access the different instructional platforms that will be utilized this school year.

Welcome Back! Thank you for all the amazing Memorial Day projects you created with your children. I can see a great deal of work and effort went into them to honor our fallen heroes. Hello Parents!

I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day! It was certainly a well-deserved one this year! I'd say we all worked extra hard for that "day of rest & pampering"!  Now, back to work...

I ask that you continue to assist your child, with the work packets  and sending pictures to me.  I know most of you have signed up for "Seesaw" and are using it and your children love it!  What I love about Seesaw is that you can use your telephone to do many of the activities with your child and take the picture or video and submit it right from your phone. It's amazing how easy it is!

So please, utilize this- you & your child will enjoy the convenience!

Look below & click on May Calendar   (below) for virtual trips!! Remember, I am always here to assist you.

Welcome to the 1st week of May!

I hope everyone is ready for an exciting month, as I have many fun things planned & "class trips" for us to go on. Below you will find a calendar of these "virtual trips" to add a little fun and exploration to the students' days.  I hope you will take advantage of them! Please click on the PurPLe link below.

Make a Senior Happy!

These are very challenging times for everyone, especially for our Senior Citizens. They are worried about  being in the high-risk age group and also lonely, due to social distancing guidelines.

You can make a Difference!

Have your child draw a "feel-good" picture ona blank card or a piece of paper. They might want to add their name and age in one corner.  It's AMAZING how creative children can be.  Just imagine how HAPPY Seniors will feel when they receive these drawings !

You can take a photograph of the picture and email it to jennier.villa@yonkersny.gov.

OR Mail the cards/ drawings to:  Yonkers Parks Dept Senior Recreation

This will help them to Celebrate our Earth!
