Mrs. Driscoll
Hi! I am Mrs. Driscoll (formerly Kilduff). Welcome to my Teacher Home Page! I am so excited for this school year! Here you can learn a little bit more about me:
This year we will use Benchmark Steps to Advance ELA curriculum, iReady Math curriculum, MysteryScience, and PNW BOCES Social Studies Curriculum.
In this classroom, we establish a safe, comfortable, and encouraging learning environment that allows students to academically succeed while supporting them through challenges. We focus on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) using resources from Yale's Center for Emotional Intelligence RULER program and Christine Hertz and Kristina Mraz' text Mindset for Learning.
To develop SEL, students learn..
- about and how to use the 5 Growth Mindset stances: empathy, optimism, perserverance, flexbility, and resilience.
- to identify emotions and self-regulation strategies using a Mood Meter.
