Hello and welcome to Speech.  

Speech is a related service that is mandated on a child's IEP. There are 2 types of speech services:

1. Speech Therapy - focuses on articulation and how words are pronounced. This may also include voice production and stuttering. 

2. Language Therapy - focuses on the ability to use and understand language. It includes listening skills, verbal directions, vocabulary and social communication.

Speech is a pull-out service that helps to support the child in the classroom. Speech therapy also includes written language and reading comprehension. Speech is given in small groups.
