Prior to each virtual class-
Create an environment that will allow your child to successfully participate
in our lessons.
Here are some helpful suggestions:
- Make sure that your child has a hard, flat surface to place their laptop, iPad, or other device on while working.
- Be sure that your child is sitting up correctly and NOT slouched over.
- Place all materials and supplies are in the same spot so they are readily accessable- "Homework Drop Spot".
- Check to see that there is enough lighting/too much lighting.
- Pick a quiet spot so your child is not distracted.
- Keeping all distractions are minimized will lead to a flourishing learning experience.
Remember to do the following during your child's lesson:
- Sit with your child to offer support and guidance if necessary.
- Make sure that your laptop or device is fully charged and the charging cord is near just in case.
- Turn/Keep off the TV or radio.
- Be aware of other siblings, pets, or other possible distractions.
