Class Expectations

  • General Class Expectations: Statistics

    • The vast majority of work will be done on IXL, Khan Academy, or another online learning platform.
    • Each week, there will be a list of posted skills to complete.
      • You may continue beyond those skills, if you have completed the assigned work.
    • All notes will be available on this page and within Class Notebook in MS Teams.

    Grading Policy: Statistics

    • Students will receive a grade for each skill assigned out of 10 points, based on your level of mastery from the online learning platform.
    • In addition, each week, students will get a grade based on the minutes worked on your skills. This grade will be out of 10 points for each skill assigned for the week.
      • Example: If there were 3 skills assigned for the week, there will be a grade out of (3x10) = 30 points. This implies that you will work for approximately 10 minutes per skill, on average.
    • There may be an End of Marking Period Assessment (EMPA), that, if given, will account for 10% of the marking period grade.
    • Fourth Marking Period
      • For the 4th marking period, students are required to complete a Research Project that will encompass the entire marking period.
        • This will be a group project of 2-3 students.
        • The project will be broken down into 10 individual elements that students will be graded on.
