My name is Ms. Wray. I am so excited to teach and work with you and your children towards success and proficiency in the 8th grade math curriculum this 2024-2025 school year. I have been teaching secondary math in grades 7 - 12 for more than 20 years for the Yonkers Public School District.
My goal is to offer students an opportunity to enjoy and learn math in order to help them navigate real world experiences. I want each of my students to be able to benefit from all the opportunities that will come as a result of possessing a math aptitude.

Math School Supplies:
- 2 inch 3-Ring Binder or 5 subject spiral notebook. 3 plastic math folders
- Sections in your notebooks: Classwork, Homework, & Tests)
- TI 30x Scientific Calculator
- Loose-leaf paper
- Graph paper (loose-leaf)
- Plenty of pencils with good erasers
- Colored pens and pencils
- Mini stapler
- 10. (OPTIONAL)- 1 Box of Tissues , · 1 package of Expo markers, · 1 package of mechanical pencil, 1 · Container of Hand sanitizer, 1 · Clorox disinfecting wipes.

Dear Parents and Students:
I will post grades on powerschool. 8th grade math in the Yonkers School District is taught using the IReady platform for math instruction. I will also use additional learning materials during math instruction. Academic grades are based on homework, classwork, test scores, projects, and quizzes.
