3/22/20-STUDENTS, PLEASE READ: Last week, I had asked you to keep your work in your binder, but it appears that we will have to continue virtual learning for a while, so we have to set up a way for us to communicate and for you to submit work. You can reach me at isager@yonkerspublicschools.org during school hours to communicate with me. All communication must be appropriate. I also need to hear from each one of you to ensure you have access to lessons, so tomorrow's assignment will address this. Please go to the Course Documents on the class page, and click on "Assignment for 3/23/20"--due by 5 pm.
STUDENTS, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING- 3/18/20
Hello Students! I will be posting ELA work on our class page-- just go to where you would normally go to look at our course documents. Each post will cover 3-5 days of work. I will try to present lessons that lend themselves to you working and learning independently. You will plan and decide how to manage your time and complete the work by the due date. Please complete all the work assigned during the closure neatly with first and last name, the date, and a title (Ex: Week of 3/18-20-Haiku) and keep all work in one section in your binder. You will submit the work upon return and/or use some of your work to create a writing portfolio. Please do not fall behind and let the work pile up as we don't know how long the buildings are going to be closed. Please ask your parents for help with organizing your time if you have difficulty with time management. A general guideline will be to allocate 30 minutes a day to complete English schoolwork. You may also complete all the work at one time, but remember to plan time during the week for all your subjects!
Do the best you can and email me at isager@yonkerspublicschools.org if you have questions on any of the work posted. Don't forget to practice good hygiene and social distancing!
Have a great week!
Ms. Sager
