This a foundation year for both critical reading and writing and it is expected that each student bring their very best effort to every interaction (lesson) as well as every assignment (reading and writing). 

It is expected that you have the assigned reading material available for engagement during lessons and for the proper completion of assignments.  This could be in the form of physical or digital reading material. 

As questions arise from the readings and the lessons (and they will, frequently), it is imperative that you ask them as quickly as possible by either district email or on the available class discussion platform.  This will allow each student to have clarity moving into an assignment to ensure the proper completion of that assignment.

It is important to adhere to the class assignment due dates as they are in place to allow for grading time and return/review.  As we are a college prep high school, practice in adhering to deadlines is of the utmost importance in looking to be successful in higher education.
