The third grade uses the E, S, U and IP grading scale. 

E (Exemplary) - Above Grade Level 

S (Satisfactory) - Grade Level 

U (Unsatisfactory) - Approaching Grade Level 

IP (Intermittent Progress) - Below Grade Level
