I would like to welcome everyone to the 2024-2025 academic school year.  This is my 19th year teaching here at Riverside, and I look forward to another exciting school year. I can be reached at any time during the day at mdoczynski@yonkerspublicschools.org.  If there is a more important matter that you would like to speak to me directly about, please call the school at 914-376-8425 and I will return your call as soon as possible.  If your child needs extra help in math, I will be available every Thursday from 2:30-3:15 in room 214.  If it is not possible for your son or daughter to get extra help on a Thursday, please have them speak with me privately to arrange a day that works for both of us.  I will do my best to accommodate any request for a day other than Thursday.

Students must obey the following rules upon entering my class: 

• Treat everyone in the room with respect
• No electronic devices / No headphones or AirPods / No hats
• Remain in your seat at all times

Students are required to have the following items on a daily basis:

• Two pencils and two pens
• A notebook dedicated to math 
• Loose-leaf and graph paper

Your child’s grade will be calculated as follows:

• Assessments                     60%
• Homework                         20%
• Participation                      20%
