Welcome Back!!!!

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year.  My name is Trecia Gillett-Gontee and I will be your Global History and Geography (10) teacher this year.  This year marks the beginning of my 23^rd year teaching and my 21^st year within the Yonkers Public Schools system.  While many things have changed, I remain committed to providing YOU with a quality education I would want for my own children. 

Yet, many things HAVE changed.  Most evidently, YOU are all learning REMOTELY.  That means while you’re at home accessing your lessons, I am at Riverside providing you with your lessons.  Because of this we need to become familiar with several programs to help the learning process.

1. Microsoft TEAMS – Become very familiar with this program. This will be used as the PRIMARY source of your assignments, lessons, communicating with me and other resources.  (Download the app to your phones, iPads and or computers.  More video tutorials to come)

2. NearPod – This program will be used to engage you with interactive lessons. This will be the primary way for me to take attendance will we are LIVE.  (Download the app to your phones, iPads and or computers.  More video tutorials to come)
