Dear Parent/Guardian,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to fourth grade at School 21.  My name is Mr. Curcio, and I will be your child's fourth grade teacher.  I am confident that this will be a successful school year and that all academic expectations will be met!!

To meet a diversity of learning styles in the classroom, a variety of learning and assessment techniques will be administered.  Students are expected to always put forth their best effort, show respect to others, and take responsibility for their actions.

Parents are expected and strongly encouraged to be involved with their child's education.  This includes providing the proper learning tools, making sure your child is up to date with assignments, and creating a positive learning environment at home.

Fourth grade will be taking state exams in English and math.  MAPS testing will also be administered to measure academic growth.
