    Kindergarten Virtual Rules

To make our virtual classes effective for all, I kindly ask all students and supporting family members to please follow these rules:

    • Set up learning space for your child and try to have their school supplies available in that space for them ready to use. Supplies can be put in a box.
    • Make sure the background is appropriate. Please be mindful of people that can be seen in the camera. Also, please be aware of others talking in the background.
    • Help your child get logged on and remind them of the rules before they start.
    • Dress appropriately. Use the restroom and eat before you start.
    • Leave yourself unmuted and the video must be on.
    • Don’t bring things to class you would not normally bring to school like puppies, donuts, stuffed animals, etc.
    • Stay focused on the lesson.
    • If you are having technical difficulties, please leave the space and re-enter.
    • On the Yonkers Public Schools Distance Learning website, there is information for parents on Microsoft Teams, Seesaw, located within the "For Parents" tab. Short tutorial videos on Microsoft Teams for parents and students are also located here and may be of assistance. These were created by our teachers and Microsoft.
