    Dear School 21 Families,

It’s almost time to begin another academically rewarding year.  We hope that our families had a summer filled with lots of fun and exciting experiences along with an abundance of learning activities.  In keeping with your teachings, we are looking forward to providing your child with endless opportunities for academic growth and rigor.  To our new families, welcome to School 21. We thank you for entrusting your child to us this year.   For our parents, both new and returning, we encourage you to learn about the school policies and the curriculum. We will be hosting our Open House in the coming weeks. Once we receive the date from central office, we will notify our families.   During open house, parents/guardians will have the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher and gain an understanding of the guiding principle at School 21, which is “Students First”.

The district motto Restoration, Renewal, and Hope is one we embrace here at School 21. Through our work with understanding the academic and social emotional needs of our children, we can ensure the students meet their academic goals.  We have learned to listen to what the child says and doesn’t say to better meet their individual needs.  Through the 5essentials Survey conducted by the district in June 2023, we have evidence which shows students feel comfortable and supported by their teachers.  We are proud to announce that we had the highest percentage on the survey regarding Student Teacher Trust. We will continue to build on this trust to ensure the students receive a well-rounded education.

We have been charged as educators to not only teach the core subjects but to assist your child in developing the qualities and characteristics that make him or her unique.  Our day-to-day work is aligned with our school’s mission statement which is “At School 21, we promote the whole child! Our goals include social, emotional, and academic success for all students. We strive to work with parents and guardians to bring their children a full education.” Through class activities, assemblies, one on one interactions, and school functions, your child will reach their academic potential and make memories that will last a lifetime.

On behalf of the School 21 faculty, staff and administration, we look forward to another great year of teaching & learning. Please see school arrival and dismissal polices and other important information listed on our website.  Wishing you and your family an enjoyable rest of the summer!
