Mrs. Glenda Lacen
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. My name is Mrs. Lacen and I am one of the Algebra and Geometry teachers in the Academy of Learning at Lincoln High School. I have been teaching for 26 years and this will be my fifth year at the amazing Lincoln High School.
Though I've been an educator for more than half my life, I am also a mom and a wife. My hubby and I have 2 children. Our daughter just graduated from college and our son just started his first year in college. I also fostered and adopted a dog this summer; his name is Hayden. He is a 2 year old pit-boxer mix and he is awesome!!!
I very excited to meet my incoming ninth grade students as well as to reunite with my sophomores and juniors. This has been a challenging year both academically and personally for both students and teachers. The school year has not begun as we expected and we will work remotely for at least our first month. We must embrace technology and realize that it's going to be our first mode of communication. Some days will be better than others, but I hope that I and the other teachers at Lincoln can make this transition back to school as easy as possible for you.
Microsoft Teams will mainly be where you see and submit assignments and can get in contact with me. I will be using it to take daily attendance as well so it is important you make sure to stay engaged with this platform. All your assignments will also be posted on my Teacher page and shared with you on Microsoft Teams. If you ever have any questions or concerns about anything please feel free to reach out to me.
