Welcome to the LEGO After School Program
The LEGO Robotics afterschool program integrates technology, engineering and computer science principles, to foster collaboration, deep thought, and engagement for both teachers and students across both the public and non-public participating schools.
The schools involved in the program are Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy, Family School 32, School 22, Eugenio María de Hostos MicroSociety School, St. Anthony, Stein Yeshiva of Lincoln Park, St. Peters, Orchard and Andalusia.
The LEGO afterschool program provides teachers and students with access to engineering and technology tools to develop and connect engineering tenets through the use of LEGO WeDo Robotics Kits. Teachers and students will move through three levels of focused development, gradually scaffolding authentic project-based learning (PBL) designed to engage students in technology-rich experiences transforming school, increasing engagement and the relevance of learning for students while also garnishing positive impact on achievement.
