Mr. Bordas

Welcome Back Students, Parents, and Colleagues! My name is Mr. Bordas and I teach United States History & Government! Room 120 is Bordas Country and is where the magic of all things America come alive! I have been teaching for 21 years in both public and private institutions of education in Yonkers. Prior to teaching, I had the great privilege of serving in the United States Navy. American history is one of my great passions and I hope to instill a sense of civic pride and appreciation for "Fact Based Learning," so that the students I teach will become active and life long learners as we prepare for college and beyond.

Please check blackboard (Teacher Page) on a daily basis as assisgnments will be posted begining Tuesday, September 8. I have history Power Points located under "Resources." I also have historical thematic packets that you may download and print out. If there are any questions, please email me at:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday are full online class days. Please refer to the hourly bell schedule posted under "Class Expectations." Wednesday is on a Flex Schedule unless there is a no school day on the regular days. Because of the shortened Wednesday schedule, students should work on their weekly homework assignments. In the end, it all comes due and we need to use our time wisely.

My after school hours are on Wednesday from 2:30-3:15.
