At this time, be advised that all students will be receiving remote, in person (synchronous) live classes for your student enrolled in any of the speech classes. It is necessary that you reach out with any issue you may be experiencing so that we can assist you.

Kindly, fill out technology loan requests if you need a device. Be advised that Roosevelt High School Early College Studies will be offering the opportnity to get a device on Sunday, 01/02/2022. You may come from 10 am to 1 pm to pick up a device, should you need one.

Septermber is the beginning of our new 2021-2022 Academic Year.  Your participation and active collaboration will help ensure your child makes the most progress. Conistent attendance to scheduled therapy sessions is highly encouraged. Please send your child to school on a regular basis, except for times of illness, it is important for your child to have consistency this academic year. Please refer to the Yonkers Public Schools District webpage for the latest information on town hall meetings and information sessions.

As we are preparing for the start of this new year, it is important for us to work together to provide access and practice to the activities completed at home, so that our students reap the benefits of speech and langage therapeutic intervention.

Please be sure to check out the school's webpage, as well as the Yonkers Public Schools main District Website for updates, and pertinent information, and to catch up on latest updates.

Please be reminded that we are to continue wearing a mask. Masks have been shown to help slow the spread of disease. If your child still struggles with wearing a mask, please note, Below you will find a resource with suggestions on how to help you child become more comfortable with using masks.

Wearing masks can be challenging for all of us.  It is vital to do your best to help your child stay as safe and healthy as possible, particularly on school grounds.

If you have a medical accomodation or a reason for not using masks, please be sure to inform the school.  Also, you may want to consider the use of face shield for your child, if nothing else works.

I ask that you practice using masks with the best interests so that your child is ready and feels comfortable with the idea of having either a mask or face shield  daily while in school to ensure their safety.  We can do our best to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
