  • RHS-ECS is aligned with the Early College High School philosophy:

    • Students are prepared for the academic rigor of postsecondary education
    • Technology is infused into every aspect of teaching and learning
    • College campus atmosphere at the high school provides students with a College and Career Cen­ter staffed with an advisor, and a state-of-the-art Library and Media Center
    • Teacher/Student Advisory Program provides ongo­ing academic and developmental supports
    • The entire school supports the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Model
    • The Community Service program inspires volunteerism
    • Extended learning experiences embrace in-depth study and research-based projects

    • Participation in a freshman orientation program, summer transition program, student-led conferences and teacher/student advi­sory meetings
    • Development of portfolios and research-based project used as course exit exhibitions
    • Use technology for coursework and the Naviance college preparatory system
    • Participation in College Board programs –PSAT to improve college readiness skills in preparation for college-level courses, as well as Accuplacer and SAT tests to assess academic readi­ness for college
