Participation, examinations, quizzes; homework assignments; projects, & classwork.
Attendance is a factor in determining a student’s grade to the extent that poor attendance prevents them from participating in class activities, notes, completing homework assignments, projects, taking examinations, and quizzes, etc.
45% CLASSWORK (Participation, Pairs/ Group Work, Activites, Handouts & Notes)
25% TESTS & QUIZES (Do Nows & Closure Questions) (Vocabulary Activities)
15% PROJECTS
15% HOMEWORK

Classroom shall comprise (30% to 40%)
- determined by frequency of performance in class activities, including written assignments, presentations as well as participation in group work, individual activities, exercises, notes, discussions, projects.
- graded objectively on basis of their “achievement level,” not in terms of their “personality type.” Sensitivity to those students whose cultural or psychological background, learning disabilities, and/or limited familiarity with English that inhibit their verbal participation in classroom activities will be taken into consideration in the determination of students’ performance.
- Class participation is not a category unto itself.
Late Work policy: Accepted up to 2 weeks late for full credit. After 2 weeks assignment will count for no higher than 65%.
