    The Director of Language Acquisition will lead the implementation of the Yonkers Public Schools (YPS) instructional program in Transitional Bilingual Education, ENL, Dual Language and World Languages. The selected candidate is expected to have a working knowledge of comprehensive and innovative teaching and learning, proven communication skills, collaborative experience with colleagues, parents, educators, and the community. Working with central office administration, the Director of Language Acquisition will be responsible for assisting in leading the development, organization, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the PreK-12 language acquisition programs to ensure that all students meet and exceed the requirements of federal and State mandates as it relates to language acquisition. In addition, the selected candidate will supervise and evaluate teachers in Transitional Bilingual Education, ENL, Dual Language and World Language programs. Learn more
