Mayor Mike Spano appointed digital and information technology specialist Arz Raheem to the Board of Education on April 11, 2025. As a trustee of the Yonkers Board of Education, Mr. Raheem is a member of the nine-member Board, which is the official policy-making body of the School District.

Working in information technology for over 20 years, Mr. Raheem currently serves as director of Digital Technology Services at Hackensack Medical Health, where he oversees and supports Hackensack’s strategies to engage with audiences through its digital channels, including data and analytics. Previously, Mr. Raheem served as senior director of the Digital Transformation Office at Montefiore Health System.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Financial Management and a Master of Arts in International Management Studies from the University of Essex. He is also an active volunteer as a youth soccer coach and mentor for local high school juniors and seniors in public speaking.

Mr. Raheem is a parent of three Yonkers Public Schools students. He replaces Trustee Felix Rios, who recently resigned. Mr. Raheem's term as trustee expires May 6, 2028.
