The Going on a Picnic Game: Tell your child you are going on a picnic, and bringing things that start with the letters of the alphabet. Start with the letter “A” and say, “I'm going on a picnic and I'm bringing an apple.” The second person repeats what the first person is bringing and then adds something starting with the letter “B”. “I'm going on a picnic and I'm bringing an apple and a banana.” The game continues as you add things to bring to the picnic going through the letters of the alphabet and try to recall what the last person chose to bring. This game can be played with as many people as you like.
