Mary Flaherty

Mary Flaherty began teaching English in Yonkers in September 2005 dividing her time between Casimir Pulaski School and Westchester Hills School 29. In 2006, when the Pulaski School grew to grade eight, Mary assumed the fulltime position where she remains today.

Ms. Flaherty earned a Bachelor of Arts in Adolescent Education majoring in English from Molloy College Honors Program and a Master of Science in Education, Creative Teaching and Learning - Gifted Education from the College of New Rochelle.

She has New York State certification to teach English in grades seven through twelve, and professional extensions in English grades five through nine and Gifted Education prekindergarten through grade twelve. In addition, she received International Baccalaureate: Middle Years Programme training.

Mary and Christopher Flaherty are the proud parents of son Ryan and daughter Erin.
