Text of Message from the Superintendent of Schools
January 25, 2022
Good morning Yonkers Public Schools Staff and Families,
The District is aware of yesterday’s New York State Supreme Court ruling regarding the legality of the State mandate requiring mask wearing in schools and public spaces, as well as the anticipated appeal of this decision.
Late yesterday, the New York State Department of Education issued a statement that “schools must continue to follow the mask rule.”
Therefore, until we receive a definitive decision from the New York State Department of Education and Department of Health, Yonkers schools will continue to wear masks at all times in our buildings.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Mensaje del Superintendente
25 enero 2022
