Join us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Music in Our Schools Month on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 5:15 PM at Saunders Trades & Technical High School, 183 Palmer Road. The festivities begin just prior to the Yonkers Board of Education Stated Meeting.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the celebration initially sponsored by the New York State School Music Association, which was the first coalition in the country to advocate for music education programs throughout New York State.  Eventually, it was adopted by the State of New York and evolved into a national call to action. 

The purpose of March is Music In Our Schools Month is to raise awareness of the importance of music education for all children and to remind the community that all children should have access to music.
