Parents/Guardians of 8th & 9th graders: the 15th Annual College Awareness Program is a MUST for you and your teens. Presented in partnership with the Harvard-Radcliffe Club of Westchester, the program will help tremendously with planning the next few years.
Going to college, any college, can create opportunities and change lives. But all too often, some students and families assume that college is not affordable, is "not for them," or they don't think about college until it is time to apply. By then, they may not have planned financially for college or taken the required courses or made fully informed decisions, limiting options. Early college awareness can help.
Please join us for this motivational and informative program in partnership with the Harvard-Radcliffe Club of Westchester:- Keynote Address by Mr. Osvaldo Rubio, Vice President - Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp
- College Student Panel featuring Yonkers alumni attending various colleges
- Financial Aid Overview by Eilis Klein, Sr. Director, Yonkers Partners in Education (YPIE)
- Tips for Getting Ready in High School for College by Roselyn Jones, Counselor, YMHS
- 11th Grade Panel featuring Yonkers 11th graders preparing to apply to college next year
